I just completed Scott’s two-day Lumbar course.  The course was incredibly comprehensive including a review of anatomical lumbar land marking, healthy spine movement, typical and atypical dysfunction of the lumbar spine, assessment and special tests related to lumbar dysfunction. It also included instructions and hands on learning of corrections using both muscle energy techniques and deep tissue massage techniques as well as how to incorporate treatment into your assessment.  Scott’s teaching style is animated (he is very enthusiastic and passionate about what he teaches and as such it’s captivating) and open (he allowed questions and offered answers while allowing participants to share their own experiences and clinical thoughts on the topic at hand).  I left this course with some great reminders, a better understanding of the lumbar spine and some new tools that I will definitely make use of in the near future.
